According to local authorities, Roger Hedrick, 64, called 911 around 8:40 a.m. to report that he had shot his wife, Teresa Bennet-Hedrick, 62. During the call, Hedrick claimed self-defense, stating that his wife had threatened him with a gun. He also indicated to dispatchers that he did not expect to survive the encounter.
Hanford police swiftly responded to the scene and discovered both individuals deceased inside the residence from apparent gunshot wounds. While the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, the preliminary findings suggest a possible murder-suicide.
